Do you have family rooms at your hotel?

Yes we have our Deluxe Family Rooms which have a double and two single beds or our Superior Family Rooms which have a double, single & double sofa bed.

Do you have Interconnecting rooms at your hotel?

We have a limited number of interconnecting rooms available. Please contact the hotel directly on 056 77 60502 to check availability.

Is The Newpark located in the city centre?

The hotel is located in a residential zone of Kilkenny City. Approximately 2 kilometres to the High Street/ Kilkenny Castle.

Is access to the leisure centre included in my stay?

“Use of our Escape Health club, is included for hotel residents. It includes an indoor pool, an adults only outdoor infinity pool, sauna and steam room. There is also an extensive gym. Escape Spa provides a range of relaxing Aveda treatments at an extra cost.”

What facilities does the hotel have for children?

Complimentary On-site Activities Include:
Our Kids Camp – Open each evening from 7pm until 10.30pm (primary school attending) with a range of fun activities for kids to enjoy e.g., movie nights, build-a-bear (seasonal), entertainment shows, arts and crafts.

What facilities does the hotel have for families with babies?

The hotel has a “Baby” room which includes; a microwave, fridge/freezer, changing facilities, kettle and sterilizers.

What type of family rooms do you have?

Deluxe Family Rooms include 1x Double bed and 2 x Single beds. These can also accommodate a camp bed for a small child or travel cot. Superior Family Room includes 1x Double bed, 1x Single bed, 1x Sofa bed. This room can also accomodate a travel cot. Whats the difference? Our Superior Family Rooms are brighter, with floor to ceiling windows, more spacious and the modernised bathrooms have a seperate bath & shower.

What dining options are available at the hotel?

We have a range of dining options available for your stay.

Gulliver’s Restaurant offers relaxed dining in gorgeous surroundings & is great for your special occasions.

Scott’s Bar & Brasserie is open daily from 12pm to 9pm, offering carvery lunch and a la carte dinner menu. Why not try a decadent afternoon tea in the supmtuous surrounds of the Hotel Lobby? Or check out our fabulous Terrace Bar, serving snacks.

What time is check-in/ checkout?

Check-in is 4pm and checkout is 12pm

I will be arriving early – can I have my room?

Rooms are not guarenteed until 4pm on day of check-in. You are welcome to register with the reception team from 1pm. If you room is available, they can make it available to you. If not, you are welcome to avail of the hotel facilities prior to check-in including the pool. Or we can store your luggage if you are going out for the day.

Are the rooms air-conditioned?

A limited number of our Rooms have air-conditioning.

My child is nearly 4 years old, can he/she attend the kids camp?

Unfortunately, the kids camp is strictly for children attending primary school.

What is your cancellation policy?

For individual rooms, the hotel operates a 48-hour cancellation policy. Rooms cancelled after 3pm, 2 days prior to arrival will be charged the first nights accomodation. Advance Purchase Rates or Deposits paid are non-refundable & non-transferable.
